I believe all families deserve to be educated, supported and empowered during their lactation journey. I am passionate in building confidence and offering guidance in order for parents to make the best choices for themselves and their babies through lactation counseling. I celebrate pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding and bonding. I am passionate about the benefits of breastfeeding and am here to educate, support and empower you in every step you take to reach your personal lactation goals.
-
Educate.
Educating families on the benefits of human milk for the human infant: nutritionally, physically, emotionally, and developmentally; thus, building the basis toward creating healthy moms and babies. Educating families on proper infant latch techniques, breast and nipple care, safe milk storage, and methods of feeding and/or milk expression is a primary goal.
-
Support.
Optimizing support for breastfeeding families should begin as early as pregnancy and extend through birth practices, postpartum, and beyond. The decision to breastfeed can yield in positive life-long impacts for both mothers and babies.
-
Empower.
Part of my mission is to empower parents through building confidence and education, while striving to share evidence-based information in a manner which is encouraging and non-judgmental. You are capable of a positive breastfeeding experience.

I am a 30 year old mother of two beautiful little girls. When I was pregnant with my first, I attended a prenatal breastfeeding course that sparked my initial interest in breastfeeding. I have had twoback-to-back breastfeeding journeys - nearly 4 years combined. In 2020, I also became a milk donor through the WGL Milk Bank and an informal donor (donating a little over 2,600oz in 9 months). In October 2022, I partnered with the WGL Milk Bank and opened a Milk Depot and Donor Milk Dispensary.

The meaning behind the name "Milk and Moon” is significant. In 2018, my first child, Elowen Moon, was born. I was a new mother faced with learning to navigate postpartum and breastfeeding. I would not have the same passion for breastfeeding without my journey with her, the challenges we overcame and support from the lactation professionals who inspired me along the way.
